In this guide, we will provide an overview of the various tabs and subtabs within CapIntel.

Comparisons Tab

  • Within the Comparisons tab, there are four subtabs: All, Drafts, Assigned, and Compliance.
  • The All subtab is a listing of all saved comparisons. You will also find within this section, comparisons with documented justifications. It also includes all comparisons under the drafts tab and the assigned tab.
  • The Drafts subtab contains comparisons which have not been assigned to a contact.
  • Assigned contains comparisons which have been linked to a contact.
  • The Compliance subtab is a listing of all completed time-stamped comparisons.

Contacts Tab

  • The Contacts tab allows you to locate a client should you wish to complete tasks at the client level.
  • For instance, if the client is holding external assets, you may create a portfolio reflective of the external holdings and bring into comparison one of your models to evaluate various factors. You may then export a proposal to review the details with the client. We will provide further guidance on utilizing features at the client level in future videos as it is not within our current focus of training.

Search Tab

  • The Search tab allows you to conduct a general search of products. Once the stock comparison is automated within CapIntel, you will be able to search stocks in this section. For now to search stocks, you will need to utilize the models tab.

In the All Items subtab, you may search by fund code or fund name.

  • From here, you can then select your fund and proceed with your comparison process.
  • There is also the opportunity save a product as a favorite within this subtab.
  • The Saved Funds subtab contains a listing of all previously saved funds.
  • There are two purposes for saving funds as favorites:
    1. The first is that it will provide a quick reference point for a listing of commonly recommended funds.
    2. The second is when creating a model and selecting your desired positions, your favorites can easily be added.
  • By clicking on the box to the left of the position, you can bring a product into comparison.
  • You may also select multiple products and bring them into a portfolio, essentially creating a model from the Saved Funds subtab.
  • You can then record a justification note by clicking Export Proposal. For guidance on creating models and recording a justification, please review our video "Creating a Model Portfolio".
  • The Saved Benchmarks subtab is a listing of all previously saved benchmarks. We will provide further guidance on benchmarks in future videos as benchmarks are not within our current focus of training.

Models Tab

  • Lastly, the Models tab provides a listing of previously saved models.
  • Specifically in the My models subtab, you may click on a model and then edit or delete the model.
  • The Enterprise subtab functionality is not currently active, however we are looking into potential future enhancements.
  • The Custom Benchmarks subtab is a listing of all previously saved custom-created benchmarks. We will provide further guidance on benchmarks in future videos as benchmarks are not within our current focus of training.
